Meet your trainer Adam Sports Scientist

Hello, I’m Adam, a Sports Scientist (Brunel University London) born in Zürich to English parents. I’ve been training clients since I was 16, back when neon spandex ruled the gyms! I’m a proud father of two (sometimes) wonderful kids, and when I’m not coaching, you’ll find me skiing, hiking, or reminiscing about my competitive squash days.

With nearly 40,000 sessions under my belt, I specialise in smart, functional movements that build strength, restore energy, and support longterm health. I`m keenly aware of the risk to benefit ratio of exercises and continually educate myself and optimise my approach. Every session is tailored to your goals and shaped by my experience helping you to move better, feel stronger, and enjoy a healthier, more vibrant life.

My mother tongue is English and I speak perfect Swiss German and German.

My goal? To improve your fitness and elevate your health for the long run, while sharing a few laughs along the way.

OFFERING

To get the most out of your sessions, it helps to train somewhere energising and functional.

Too many gyms are packed so full of equipment that rotating, jumping, or moving laterally becomes a contact sport.

I train out of Zürich’s most well equipped personal training gym and an exclusive villa in Winterthur.

I also love taking sessions outdoors, benefitting from the natural light and fresh air.

Common Questions

  • Unless specifically requested by the client, training sessions last 60 minutes.

  • Please wear functional sports clothing that allows you to move freely. For the indoor locations please wear clean shoes, ideally not running shoes as we will be getting you to move in multiple directions.

  • You are very welcome to turn up 10 minutes before the session and do a warm up if the gym is not too busy in the Zürich location. In Winterthur this is not possible because the training space is too cozy.

  • At the Zürich location towels for showering and training are provided and included in the price as well as water to drink. At the Winterthur location please bring your own towel for showering and training , mineral water is provided.

  • In general I have a 24 hour cancellation policy so please let me know asap if you need to change or cancel your training. Of course if you wake up ill and let me know asap I won’t charge you.

  • Most people perform best if they eat a nutrient dense meal 2-3 hours before training and stay well hydrated. However listen to your body and find out what works best for you.

  • Currently I can accept payment via TWINT or I send you a bill with email to be paid via a bank transfer.

  • There are different ways of training together. I think two sessions together a week is ideal and you can expect to progress. If you are disciplined and enjoy training by yourself as well then once a week or even bi weekly can also work well.

  • Please contact me via the form or whatsApp me and I will reply ASAP.

  • My youngest person I have trained has been 10 and the oldest 96! Any age is a good age to start training with me.
